Website Design

Most business websites look professional and do almost nothing. No rankings, no leads, no pipeline. I build websites designed to rank, capture leads, and convert strangers into paying clients.

The Problem

Why Most Business Websites Are Expensive Brochures.

A beautiful website that nobody finds, that doesn't communicate value, and that has no clear path to booking or buying — is not a business asset. It's a liability you're paying to host.

75%

of users judge business credibility by website design alone.

3s

is how long a visitor waits before leaving a slow website.

88%

of users won't return to a website after a bad experience.

Why Websites Fail

The Four Reasons Your Current Website Isn't Working.

No one can find it.It wasn't built with SEO in mind. No metadata, no schema, no keyword architecture, no technical foundation. Google doesn't know what it's about, who it's for, or why it should rank. It's invisible.
Visitors don't understand what you do.The copy explains features and services in your language — not theirs. Visitors can't quickly understand if you solve their specific problem. They leave to find someone whose website speaks directly to them.
There's no trust architecture.Trust is built through specific signals: verified testimonials, detailed case studies, credentials that mean something, and a clear explanation of how you work. Most websites skip all of these — and buyers leave to find someone they trust.
No clear path to becoming a client. The call-to-action says "Contact Us." The form has 12 fields. The phone number isn't clickable on mobile. Every friction point between a visitor and an inquiry is a conversion that doesn't happen.

What I Build

Four Layers. Every One of Them Earns Its Place.

01

SEO Architecture First

Every page is built around a keyword cluster before a single line of design begins. Metadata, schema markup, heading hierarchy, internal links, and page speed are engineered in — not bolted on after the fact. The site is ready to rank on day one.

02

Conversion-Led Design

Every layout decision is driven by how buyers actually move through a website when they're evaluating a purchase. Hero that addresses the problem. Social proof positioned at the moment of doubt. CTAs that are specific, low-friction, and visible on every device.

03

Lead Capture Infrastructure

An audit form, a contact system, or a booking integration — designed to make the next step obvious and frictionless. Connected to your CRM or email system from day one. Every lead captured, tagged, and followed up automatically.

04

Performance That Doesn't Apologise

A slow website loses visitors before they read a word. Every build targets 90+ PageSpeed score, Core Web Vitals in the green, and sub-2-second load on mobile. Fast sites rank better, convert better, and cost less to run on paid traffic.

The Difference

What a Template Build Looks Like Versus What I Build.

What most agencies deliver

Template-based design adapted to fit your brand
SEO meta tags added at the end as an afterthought
Stock copy that explains what you do, not why buyers should care
A contact form that emails you and stops there
No tracking — you have no idea if the website is working
6-month handover period where you can't change anything

What I deliver

Bespoke design built around your positioning and buyer psychology
SEO architecture defined before design begins
Copy written to convert the specific buyer you want to attract
Full lead capture stack — form, CRM integration, automated follow-up
GA4 + Search Console configured, goal tracking active on day one
Handover session so you can manage content independently

The Process

How a Website Goes From Brief to Revenue Machine.

Phase 01 · 1 Week

Discovery & Strategy

Competitive analysis, keyword architecture, ICP definition, conversion goal mapping, and technical requirement scoping. This determines everything that follows.

Phase 02 · 1–2 Weeks

Architecture & Copy

Information architecture, wireframes, and all page copy — written to convert, optimised for SEO, and approved before design begins. Copy before design, not the other way around.

Phase 03 · 2–3 Weeks

Design & Build

Visual design, development, responsive build, performance optimisation, schema markup, and lead capture system integration. One round of revisions included.

Phase 04 · 1 Week

Launch & Handover

QA across devices and browsers, GA4 and Search Console setup, Search Console submission, 30-day post-launch monitoring, and a full handover session.

Website Design Questions, Answered Honestly.

A properly built service business website — fully designed, developed, SEO-configured, and with lead capture systems in place — typically takes 4–6 weeks. Rush projects can be completed in 2–3 weeks with full focus allocation and faster client feedback cycles. Design-heavy projects or those requiring custom functionality take 6–10 weeks.
A website that looks good was designed for a portfolio screenshot. A website that converts was designed around what a buyer does when they're researching a purchase: they scan headlines to see if you understand their problem, they look for evidence that you've solved it before, they check for risk-reducing signals (testimonials, credentials, clear process), and they look for an easy next step. Most business websites fail at all four. Visual design is easy. Persuasive architecture is hard.
Depends on how it was built. If your existing website was built on a solid technical foundation with proper SEO structure, good conversion architecture, and modern performance characteristics — a redesign of key pages and a content update may be enough. If it's built on a legacy system, was never configured for SEO, has Core Web Vitals under 50, or the information architecture is fundamentally broken — a rebuild is usually more cost-effective than patching.
For most service businesses: Next.js (React) for maximum SEO and performance control, or WordPress with a custom theme for clients who need heavy CMS capability. Webflow for design-led projects where the client wants full visual control without touching code. Squarespace and Wix for early-stage businesses that need a basic presence quickly — but they have real SEO ceiling limitations. The platform matters less than the architecture decisions made on top of it.
Yes, for all engagements that include my full website design service. I write all page copy — homepage, service pages, about page — as part of the engagement. Copy is the difference between a website that explains what you do and a website that makes someone feel understood. I write with SEO intent and conversion architecture in mind simultaneously.
A properly built website isn't automatically ranked — it's search-ready. What I deliver includes: proper technical SEO configuration (metadata, schema, sitemaps, canonicals), strong on-page optimisation for your target keywords, fast page loading (Core Web Vitals), and an architecture that makes it easy for Google to understand what every page is about. Ranking requires ongoing SEO work on top of the foundation. But without the foundation, no amount of ongoing SEO works.
Discovery and strategy (competitive analysis, keyword architecture, conversion goals), information architecture and wireframes, visual design (bespoke — not template-based), full development (responsive, accessible, performant), SEO configuration (metadata, schema, sitemaps, Search Console setup), copywriting for all pages, lead capture system (form + CRM or email integration), a 30-day post-launch support window, and a handover session so you can manage content confidently.
